What happens if I forget my master password?
Because Vaultkey is zero-knowledge, we never see or store your master password — which means we cannot reset it. You can set up an account recovery key or an emergency contact in advance so you're never locked out.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan gives you unlimited passwords and passkeys on a single device, with autofill and the generator included. Upgrade to Personal whenever you want to sync across all your devices.
Can I switch plans or cancel any time?
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your billing settings whenever you like. Changes apply immediately and we prorate the difference automatically — no lock-in, no cancellation fees.
How is my data encrypted?
Everything is encrypted on your device with AES-256 and XChaCha20 before it syncs. Your master password is the only key, and it never leaves your device, so not even Vaultkey can read your vault.
Can I import from another password manager?
Yes. Vaultkey imports from your browser and from popular managers using a standard CSV or encrypted export. The whole vault is re-encrypted on import, usually in under a minute.
