Monstera Deliciosa
Also known as the Swiss cheese plant, the Monstera is a fast-growing showstopper with dramatic split leaves. Forgiving, expressive, and happiest in bright, indirect light β a brilliant first big-leaf plant.
The Monstera Deliciosa is one of the most recognisable houseplants in the world β and for good reason. Its glossy, heart-shaped leaves develop their signature splits and holes (fenestrations) as the plant matures, giving any room an instant jungle feel.
Each Leaflet Monstera is grown in our own nursery, hardened off for home conditions, and hand-inspected before it ships. You'll receive a healthy, established plant in a nursery pot, ready to drop straight into your chosen decorative planter.
Why you'll love it
- Fast-growing and rewarding β new leaves arrive often
- Tolerant of occasional missed waterings
- Air-purifying foliage that lifts any corner
- Easy to propagate and share with friends
Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Monsteras tolerate medium light but grow faster and fenestrate more in brighter spots. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Water roughly once a week, letting the top 2β3 cm of soil dry out between waterings. Reduce frequency in winter. Yellow leaves usually mean overwatering; crispy edges mean it's thirsty.
Humidity & feeding
- Loves moderate humidity β mist occasionally or group with other plants
- Feed monthly with a balanced houseplant food in spring and summer
- Wipe leaves now and then to keep them dust-free and glossy
- Repot every 1β2 years as it outgrows its pot
